~Healing Process~

What To Expect While Healing

Once you finished the procedure, the healing process will start, as your skin is repairing itself from the procedure of pigment insertion. Your pigment may start darkening in a matter of hours, some people minutes(rarely). The pigment will darken throughout the days of healing until it starts cracking and scabbing off. You will experience cracking in Day 3-5 depending, and it will start scabbing off and becomes patchy on Day 5-7. On day 7-12 your treated areas will be 20% lighter with a little scabs or no scab at all.

*Some people heals quicker (7-10 days) and some takes longer time to heal (10-14 days)

What's Normal During Healing

  • Mild swelling, itching, light scabbing, and dry tightness. Apply pressure on area of treatment with  cleansing pad provided to relieves symptoms.

  • Too dark, and uneven appearance. After 3-7 days, the darkness will fade after the scabs flakes off and the unevenness due to swelling will dissipates.

  • Colour change or colour loss. As the area heals, the colour will lighten and sometimes seem to disappear. This can be addressed during the touch up appointment, and is why touch up is necessary. The procedure area has to be completely healed before we could address any concerns. This takes about 4 weeks.

  • Needing a touch up months or years later. A touch up may be needed within 6 months to 2 years time after the initial touch up depending on skin type, medication, life style and sun exposure. Initial touch up is recommended within 6-8 weeks after treatment.
